The Girl on The Train: By Paula Hawkins

Hey readers I hope you all have had a great summer and I'm sorry it has been a while since I have posted but I have a great new read for you all!  Those of you who liked Gone Girl or a book with some mystery would really enjoy this book.

The protagonist of this book, Rachel, takes the train every day and finds herself watching and getting involved with what she thinks is a perfect couple that lives down the street from where she used to live. She has become invested in their perfection and has even  come up with names for them. Rachel calls them Jess and Jason. As she watches them she is reminded of the divorce she went through two years earlier with her husband Tom. She is still hung up on him ever since he divorced her because of her problems with alcohol. Rachel is an alcoholic who has recently lost her job. She doesn't have a home and she lives with her friend Cathy who is under the false truth that she is still employed. One day on the train Rachel sees something that shatters her perfect image of this couple that she's been observing. When later Rachel sees a picture of Jess's (AKA Meghan's) disappearance on the news she calls the police to tell them what she saw. Once she gets involved, the police start to become curious about Rachel. There is no turning back for her because she is too far in.

This book is not only told through Rachel's point of view but through multiple perspectives. Through Tom, Meghan, Rachel and Tom's new wife Anna,  this book truly captivates each and every aspect of the story line.  This book captivated me from the very beginning and I'm sure it will take you by surprise just like it did me! Do yourselves a favor and get this book ASAP!
